The Salon Covid-19 Regulations
Please read the following Covid-19 regulations which have been set out by the governing body for beauty therapy.
If you are waiting outside The Salon, please social distance. ONLY come inside once The Salon reception is empty. We kindly ask you to wait outside until it is clear.
If you have any symptoms, please do not attend your appointment, and let us know as soon as possible.
No mask – No Treatment. We can supply a disposable face masks or you can bring your own.
Please make sure you are on time for your appointment. Not 15 minutes early or 15 minutes late. We now have to have ‘Disinfection’ time between each client so more important than ever that we can stick to our timings. If you are late we will have to reschedule you. If you are early please wait in your car or outside until your appointment time. We must keep our reception area clear.
Under no circumstances will children be allowed in The Salon and when you come to your appointment, come alone. One client to one therapist.
Please only bring essential items to The Salon. Any belongings brought into The Salon will be placed into a sealed plastic box on arrival.
You must fill out your Covid-19 screening and consultation form sent by email before your appointment.
Drinks will not be provided since you will have to remove your mask to drink.
Toilets will be available for use for emergencies only.
On entering The Salon
On entering The Salon, we ask that you wait on the round yellow marker until a member of staff can come to greet you.
We will then ask you to wash your hands either in a treatment room or in reception at our sanitising area. We will then give you your face mask and begin your treatment.
Walk In appointments/Product collection
No ‘walk ins’ for treatments or products or (as much as we love it) to pop your head in to say ‘Hi'. If you wish to purchase a product/make an appointment, please phone The Salon 01376 564900.
Sanitization and disinfection control in
The standards of hygiene at The Salon have always been exceptional however we have made some very important changes. I will share with you what we already do and measures we are putting in place.
During the lockdown period The Salon has had a thorough deep clean.
We now have sneeze screens for the manicure areas and reception. Dust extractors for the manicure areas. We have brought clear plastic chairs so these can also be easily disinfected. Our pedicure stations and manicure stations are now more than 2 metres apart. We have always used Barbicide on our metal tools, this is the beauty industry’s top disinfectant. All our metal tools are washed in warm soapy water and then disinfected. Each therapist is responsible for her own tools and once disinfected will be kept in their own clean box.
Consumables such as nail file, orange sticks, foot rasps… will be binned after every client.
Each therapist has taken a Barbicide Covid-19 course.
All team members will have their temperatures taken daily and this will be recorded.
Therapists will be wearing gloves, aprons, masks and sometimes visors depending on the treatment. Clients will be wearing masks.
There are now no towels on the treatment beds, we now have a wipe clean plastic couch cover. We always use fresh couch roll with every client but now we will also disinfect the beds before and after every client.
After every client we will be cleaning and disinfecting all areas that have been in use.
We have installed paper towel dispensers for drying hands. We also now have touch free soap dispensers.
Towels if used will be washed on a higher setting.
Clients feet will be washed prior to pedicures. Unfortunately, we will not be able to help you with putting your sandals back on, so please make sure you bring a pair which are easy to put on.
At this present time, we cannot have clients waiting for their nails to dry in The Salon so please once you have had your appointment, make sure you wear open toed shoes or book in for gels which are dry instantly!
There are sanitizing stations placed all around the salon.
We can take cash or card but if you do bring cash please make sure you have the correct money.
We know this seems a lot to take in, it has been for us. We will get used to it but for now we trust you will follow our Covid-19 regulations as these are for your safety as much as ours.
